VP is a new art gallery space focused on limited edition artworks, merchandise, events and a lifestyle that is inspired by photography. It is situated in the heart of Orchard Road, Singapore's premiere retail and shopping district. The space consists of two floors of exhibition and retail area located in a 3000 sq ft pre-war Peranakan shophouse. VP maintains a regular exhibition schedule and a permanent display of limited edition prints. It is a place you can come in, browse and walk home with a piece of art.

VP believes photography can inspire new and unique permutations of art. VP is devoted to making art accessible to all. This belief is reflected in the nature of its business and curation. VP strives to bring alternative views to traditional concepts of fine art photography by collaborating intimately with its artists.

Democratising China is an exhibition bringing together limited edition artworks by four leading Chinese contemporary artists: Feng Zhengjie, Guo Wei, Huang Yan, and Yang Qian. This group of artists presents a rich and diverse mixture of aesthetic styles, yet they are bound together by their creative vision of China in the twenty-first century. Feng Zhengjie’s Chinese Portrait Series uses 35 colour silkscreens, while the Guo Wei pieces use 25 colour silkscreens. Yang Qian’s mixed media prints use the layering of silkscreens to recreate the 3-Dimensional perception of water droplets, while Huang Yan’s continuous ability to effortlessly move across a wide field of mediums always seems to surprise his audience.
The production of each of the artworks has been personally overseen by the artists themselves and is presented in a strictly limited edition of 200, signed and numbered by the artist.

VP collaborates with up-and-coming and established artists to create new limited edition artworks and unique gift items. These are exclusive to the gallery. Some of these are inspired by La Collection Vue Privée, founder Olivier Henry's private collection of some 9,000 historic photographs, albums, cameras and other unique items. Craig Redman's "The Sky Is Black Can't you feel it?" from VP's exhibition "Technicolour Japan", is an example of this effort. This print is available for purchase at 100 editions starting from $250.

"vue privée: one" is our first collector's box produced in conjunction with VP's exhibition "Technicolour Japan". This handcrafted wooden box is custom-made by a traditional Japanese craftsman, and is a highly valued item used in Japan. Available in a limited edition of only 50, "vue privée: one" contains a set of 10 limited edition prints depicting the daily life and traditions of geishas in the 19th century and is beautifully finished and wrapped in a custom furoshiki textile on the outside.

Debuting at the 2010 Affordable Art Fair in Singapore is Mojoko's latest limited edition print entitled "Cirque Du Macabre". Derived from images contained in La Collection Vue Privée and inspired by the "Danse Macabre", the artist's fear of the circus and disdain at seeing animals in captivity brought this fictitious circus poster to life. This print is available in two sizes, 60 x 40cm and 90 x 60cm, and is limited to 100 prints. Starting at $200, get one before they sell out.

Good news, VP now ships our exclusive artworks anywhere in the world.
